A Bit About Me
Hiya! I am Kimy Hess and I have lived in the Pacific Northwest of Washington State my whole life. My hubby (Steve) and I met each other in high school in 1996 and married in 1998. We are best friends and do as much together as we can, our favorite things to do together is boating, wheeling, bonfires, camping and just being at home on our 5 acres with our dogs, kids and grandkids! Our family includes our son (Cole), daughter-in-law (Keala), grandson (Conlyn), our daughter (Kara), son-in-law (Cody), and granddaughter (Kaylee). Becoming Gramma & Papa has been the biggest blessing in our lives!
My Dog Experience
I grew up with there always being a dog and a few other fur animals around the house. My first personal animal was a cat at about the age of 9 years old, she even had a litter of kittens under my bed one night when I was sleeping. I was able to help her take care of her 5 kittens and by that, I mean I helped snuggle them. I believe that was the start of my obsession for animals! When I was 16 years old, I found myself at the Tacoma Humane Society and picked out my own dog, a Rhodesian Ridgeback. She became the start to my obedience training, loyalty, and officially becoming a Dog Person! Steve and I have always had one to five dogs at any given time in our household, our love for dogs will never end. My first beagle love came to me in 2019 by fate, and her name was Faye. She was with a foster mom when I met her, she had just retired from the Cancer Research Institute. We gave her the best last 5 years of her life, and she taught me patience, trust, loyalty and how to look into a dogs eye and understand their pain and love. Throughout the years I would see a random small beagle and think "How cute is that!" I finally found some information about pocket beagles and started talking and researching. The first time I read the story about the Olde English returning in 1999, I fell in love and never looked back. Steve and I did the whole experience and picked out our own puppies from their litters in 2023. We brought home Stormy Night & Starry Eyes at 8 weeks old and watched them grow into the little ladies they are now. We just took a quick trip to Michigan, where we picked up our newest members of our family Buddy Boy & Marley Moon. We have an awesome support team inside this business and from our family and friends, too.
